The Kansas Independent Business Coalition (KIBC), a statewide business organization for privately owned businesses, is working to build an economic renaissance for Kansas and its people. We pursue this mission in two basic ways:
Our members are key to both those efforts. As a non-profit membership organization, we depend upon the support of businesses across the state, as we work to represent the interests of the business community in the public-policy process. It is also our broad membership base that gives us the clout and the purchasing power to offer group insurance and other programs that benefit our member companies' employees, and their bottom lines. We're proud of our member companies. What unites them all is their common commitment to building a better future for Kansas. Our online presence is designed to enable our member companies – and all who are interested in Kansas’ future – to learn about our programs. If your company belongs to KIBC, we want this site to enhance the value of your membership. If your company is not yet a member, please review our work and consider joining in our efforts. And if you are a private citizen, a student, a researcher, a journalist, or a public official, please use this site to gain insights into the promise, and the needs, of the private-sector business community in Kansas. Kansas has unlimited potential. The business community is determined to do its part to ensure that this potential is fulfilled.
Our mission is to create an economic renaissance for Kansas and its people, by: • Mobilizing the resources of a united business community to press for public policies that will improve the business climate; • Working with government to design and implement such policies; and • Providing member businesses with the opportunity to surmount the costs and complexities of doing business in Kansas.
